Favorite Sephora + Drugstore Skin Care

Alright… this isn’t skincare but I love it! lol I got it on sale for $4 and I must say it’s incredibly easy to use, it provides good hold and shine, and the packaging is pink and white (cute alert!). What I love the most is the spray, it diffuses the product really well. Doesn’t leave white flakes or makes my hair stiff. I actually look forward to using this everyday!

Avalon Organics Vitamin C Renewal Cream* The first thing I noticed was the angelic orange scent! The texture was creamy and a little heavy, but it’s perfect for the winter days. It’s actually the first moisturizer that I have ever CARED about. This thing is amaaazing. I would probably buy it again! Not only does it smell good, but it also acts as a “pore filler” (at least in my experience). I noticed that my pores look smaller and skin started looking brighter after a few weeks use. I feel like i’m not doing it any justice just by saying it here. I really love this<3

I’ve been using this for 2 months now, and there is still a lot left in the jar :) I got it from a local drugstore called London Drugs.

Oh dear lawrd… I have searched far and wide (as far as my budget could take me..hahah) for a good spot treatment. I’ve tried the clean & clear ones, and a bunch of other stuff -I don’t remember, they probably weren’t worth remembering anyways!- But this one actually helps. I just apply it every night on the breakout area and sleep with it on. After about two nights, the pimple quietly slips away. Main ingredient is sulfur, and you can buy this at Sephora. (Brand: Murad)

I just learnt recently that I actually have very sensitive skin. I didn’t realize that (all those years) i’ve been brutally stripping my skin’s moisture by using alcohol-based cleansers & toners. When I started using Cetaphil, I noticed that I broke out much less, and even though it didn’t make bubbles (booo), my skin didn’t feel tight and uncomfortable afterwards. The same applies to the Philosophy Purity cleanser (Sephora). At first I didn’t care much about it, but after about 6 weeks of using it i’ve noticed how good it is! I use these two together.

For people like me who wear makeup and foundation, it’s a good idea to double cleanse and make sure to remove ALL your makeup before going to bed!

TIPS to Stay Moisturized & Have Less Breakouts:

1.) It doesn’t matter how expensive or good the product is, if your pores are clogged and the skin can’t absorb the product in the first place!

2.) Make sure to clean/wash your makeup brushes at least twice a week. If you talk on the phone a lot, wipe with antibacterial wipes :)

3.) Do NOT touch your face. Unless it’s to put skincare products. Hands MUST be washed before touching the product OR the face.

4.) Even if you have oily skin, it’s still important to moisturize.

5.) Avoid using toners with alcohol since they strip the moisture out of the skin and are a bit too harsh for daily usage.

6.) Stick to cleansers that are on the “organic” side, or non-comedogenic (which do not clog pores).

MakeUp Haul! =) Today is a good day too! I’ve decided to make a youtube channel.. but FOR REAL this time. haha!! It’s just gonna be like a fun and random channel which could be about anything from Hauls, to makeup, to nursing school rants, or just life in general. I’m excited! I haven’t made it yet though =P

Red Velvet & Black Liners

This tub of icecream gives me supreme happiness. Not gonna lie, the thought of this drags me through the day sometimes. LOL.

Tarte’s Amazonian clay waterproof liner…$29 (It came with the eyeliner brush, which I loved as well). Was going to purchase the Bobbi Brown gel liner, but the consistency wasn’t as good. This, meanwhile, is creamy and easy to apply =]

Bobbi Brown corrector/concealer in Dark Peach. Amazing product. Was $30, a bit pricey, but it covers amazingly and does not crease. After years of using crappy concealers I finally found a good one! lol YAYYYYY!!

Oh my goodness. This is definitely the most i’ve spent for shorts >_< Retailing for $78 I got it on sale for $56. Super good fit (and I actually fit a size 0 in this! haha). It is both comfortable and stretchy.

Sephora had their Chick Week sale (15% off), hence the mini haul. I also bought two pairs of flats at Ardene for just $20. Cheap but cute, and i’m obviously gonna wear and tear them this coming Spring/Summer. I wouldn’t have trouble saying goodbye cause they were incredibly cheap. Ardene for the win. haha. Also bought a plain white top from F21 and cute pink leopard shorts :)

We’re at the end of our journey for second year university! Woot! The burnout has lifted, I am so ready to study for exams, go to dance rehearsal everyday, apply for jobs and get as busy as a bee =]
